Pins!

I made these pins a super long time ago, hence why they got a lil fuzzy. They're felt Day of the Dead Skull pins. This is about as far as my embroidery skill goes.

Mushroom!

After watching Vincent Floderer's amazing video of him making an origami mushroom, i just had to try it for myself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KevS_DMF2Ew

There is how it turned out. :]

I need to paint it or doing something with it to make it not so plain. Or maybe making lots of lil ones and putting it on a wreath?
I'm not sure yet. Any ideas?

Light Bulb Vase

I found a great tutorial on how to clear out a light bulb, and wanted to try it out. So i made a light bulb vase! I really like how it turned out, and i'm probly going to be making more of them, but try to make them more elaborate.

Halloween Costume!

I realise this is kind of late, but I still wanted to show my Halloween Costume that I made. I was a Mushroom! From the front it kind of looked like a sombrero, but I think it still turned out good. I actually won the costume contest at my friend Tricia's party. Thanks so much for that sweetie!

I made it out of felt, cardboard and fiberfill about an hour before the party.

Zombie Walk

So a couple of my friends and I decided to hold our very own Zombie Walk in Pensacola. Well of course it wasn't as big as the ones in New York, Grand Rapids, San Diego, and numerous other places, but we did have about 50 or 60 zombies dressed up roaming the streets of downtown together moaning and goaning. We did it during one of Pensacola's gallery nights, since that is pretty much the only time of the year that there are a good amount of people in our downtown streets. I think it turned out pretty well. Here are some of the picture of the that night.

Thats me in the center. haha.

Here is some artwork that i have done in the past couple years.

Mixed Media Bunny

Watercolor Landscape

Self Portait
Chalks and Charcoal
Doesn't really look like me though, but neither
did the photo i drew it from.

Tricia!

Here is a link to the tutorial where i learned how to do inexpensive and easy screenprints, especially for Tricia! I hope its helpful darling.

T-Shirts

I like making T-shirts for friends, since I'm not much of a T-shirt girl myself.

Spray Paint Tie-Dye
For my friend Ty! Excuse the expression,
he loved the shirt, just hates pictures.

Screen Print Nietzsche Shirt
For my friend Dusty. I learned a really cheap way to screen
print with Modge Podge and an embrodery hoop.

Organize

I made this jewelry holder a while back to organize all my necklaces. Its saved me hour of searching through my drawers for the one I would want to wear any day. And all the necklace holders you can buy at retail stores never had enough hooks. I actually added another row of hooks to the bottom and the whole thing is now hanging on my wall. i just haven't taken any new pictures.

Jewelry, part 2

Here is the rest of the necklaces that i've made so far. They are a bit more recent than the other ones, and much more my style.

Hukkle

Such an amazing movie! It's a Hungarian movie, well more like art film, about a very bizarre true insident that occured in the village of Nagyrév, Hungary. There is no real dialoge, or much speaking at all, so no worries if you are not Hungarian. They do sing a traditional Hungarian folksong near the end of the movie, but its got subtitles. Although i may be biased, since its an art movie...and its from my homeland, but it really amazing. Its kind of hard to understand, but once you understand the weirdly hidden plot, the movie becomes absolutly brilliant. :]
You can find the movie on netflix, but i'm not sure where else.

Jewelry

This is some of the jewelry i've made so far. These are again quite old.

Rain Cloud Necklace
I believe i got the idea to do this from Jill Bliss,
but don't really remember.
Hello Kitty Necklace
I made this for a friend at the time, for her
birthday, since we share the same one.

Hello Kitty Purple Necklace
I took a hello kitty locket and jazzed it up a bit
with polymer clay and crystals

Wood Hello Kitty Necklace
My friend Christian was in woodshop in at the time
and he very kindly carved it out for me, and
then i painted it.

Red Lego Necklace

Just to add, I know Hello Kitty is copy righted, as well as Lego, I would never think to sell these. They were just my first attempts as making jewelry, and I would probably not want to make these again since my style has changed a bit.

Old Old Old

I sewed these around the same time as the felt plushies.

Reconstructed Dr. Awkward T-shirt
-Dr. Awk was my friend's Ty, Mike, and Mason's band at the time.
Kind of punk, but all very fun. I got the shirt at one of their shows
but it was an extra large, and there was no way i would wear
that. So i made it cuter.
Grey Cut-out Dress

Blue Top

Super Old

These are some plushies that i made maybe 6 years ago. Some of my first attempts at sewing. Very elementary, but cute. :]

Felt Leaf
Felt Cellphone

First Post

I created this blog to showcase some of the art, crafts, photos, pretty much anything i make and I'll see how it develops from there. I'm going to post some of my older pieces first to see how my work progresses, but i have to gather all my photos.
